The Eastern Market, the lively hangouts around Barracks Row and the delicious Southern food are also worthy of the spotlight.
Thomas Jefferson came up with the name for the area, inspired by one of Rome’s seven hills – Capitoline Hill.
Capitol Hill is now one of the largest neighborhoods in Washington and houses over 30,000 people!
This old neighborhood manages to keep a young aura thanks to its large students’ community.
Beautiful mansions, boutique shops and waterfront restaurants, make Georgetown a sight for sore eyes!
Also worth visiting is the Georgetown University, a 18th century building with famous alumni like Bradley Cooper and Bill Clinton.
